Seek God in prayer
One of the first things I learned is that prayer is vital. It’s our way to chat with God, share what’s on our minds, and ask for help. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all.” So, I made it a point to prioritize prayer in my daily life.
Try setting aside a few minutes each day just for prayer. Find a quiet spot where you can really focus and use this time to share your struggles, hopes, and dreams with GodYou might find it helpful to write down your prayers, too. This way, you can look back and see how God has been working in your life.

| Finding guidance in the Word of God |
Read and meditate on scripture
God’s Word is packed with wisdom that really speaks to our lives. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” I’ve found that reading the Bible regularly helps me understand God’s purpose for me better.
As I started making these small changes, I began to feel a renewed sense of fulfillment, slowly turning the blurry chaos inside me into clarity and purpose. This pursuit of living with purpose can sometimes feel overwhelming, but scripture offers practical guidance that we can apply to our daily lives. Here are a few Bible verses about purpose that have inspired me and can guide you too:"
Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This reminds us that even when life feels uncertain, God has a good plan for each of us. Trust that there’s something positive ahead, even if it’s hard to see right now
Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Here’s an invitation to let go of worries and lean on God. When you seek Him in everything you do, He will guide your steps and help you through life’s challenges
You can start by creating a simple Bible reading plan. Choose passages that resonate with you, maybe ones about purpose, kindness, or serving others. After you read, take a moment to think about how those verses apply to your life. You might find inspiration to help someone in need or even volunteer your time. It’s amazing how a few verses can spark a desire to make a difference.
Identify your gifts and talents
We all have unique gifts that can help us fulfill God’s purpose. In 1 Peter 4:10, we’re reminded to use our gifts to serve others. Figuring out what you’re good at can really bring you closer to your calling.
Take a moment to think about your strengths or ask friends what they see in you. Start using those gifts in everyday situations. For example, I love writing. When I decided to start a blog to encourage others, I found so much joy in sharing my journey. It’s amazing how using your talents can make a difference and not just for others, but for you, too!

| Small reminders of what truly matters |
Live by your values
What are your personal values? Answering this question can help you align your actions with God’s will for you. It’s important to remember that our values should be rooted in the Word of God, as this serves as our foundation. When you live by these values, your daily actions naturally reflect your faith. It’s about making choices that are true to what you believe, which can guide you in living a life that honors God. Take a moment to think about what truly matters to you, maybe it’s love, kindness, or integrity. Then, look at your daily actions and see if they match up with those values. If kindness is important to you, find little ways to show it each day. It could be as simple as holding the door for someone or offering a compliment.
As we work toward a life filled with purpose, inspiring words can uplift our spirits and keep us motivated. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, honorable, and to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." This perspective encourages us to look beyond ourselves and focus on how we can serve others.
Adopting the idea that "life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all," as Helen Keller famously noted, can lead us to step outside our comfort zones. These reflections remind us that living with intention is about more than just personal satisfaction, it’s about making meaningful contributions to the world around us.
Build a supportive community
God created us to be part of a community. Being around supportive people can really help us grow. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us to spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Consider getting involved in your church or local community. Joining a small group or Bible study can really make a difference. I’ve found that being part of a group helps me stay focused on my goals and creates a supportive network to keep us accountable.

Celebrate the beauty in every moment |
Enjoy the Process
Living out God’s purpose in our daily lives is more like an adventure than a one time event. One simple way I’ve kept my focus is by starting a gratitude journal. Each day, I jot down a few things I’m thankful for, anything from a kind gesture from a neighbor to a beautiful sunset (I really love sunsets!). This little practice helps me see God’s presence in my life, even in the small, everyday moments.
